9 So Samuel took a nursing lamb and offered it as a whole burnt offering to the Lord. And ^kSamuel cried out to the Lord for Israel, and the Lord answered him.

6 But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” And Samuel prayed to the Lord.

23 Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing ^eto pray for you, ^fand I will instruct you in the good and the right way.

11 ⁿ“I regret¹ that I have made Saul king, for he has turned back from following me and ^ohas not performed my commandments.” And Samuel was angry, and he cried to the Lord all night.
