The Lord Calls Samuel

fNow the boy Samuel was ministering to the Lord in the presence of Eli. gAnd the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no frequent vision.

2 Chronicles 15:3

cFor a long time Israel was without the true God, and without a teaching priest and without law,

We do not see our lsigns;

mthere is no longer any prophet,

and there is none among us who knows how long.

Amos 8:11–12

11  Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord God,

not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water,
