7  The Lord makes poor and makes rich;

^qhe brings low and he exalts.

27  For you save a humble people,

but the haughty eyes you bring down.

7  but it is ^mGod who executes judgment,

ⁿputting down one and lifting up another.

11  I will ⁱpunish the world for its evil,

and the wicked for their iniquity;

I will put an end to the pomp of the arrogant,

and lay low the pompous pride of the ruthless.
