13 And Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly. hYou have not kept the command of the Lord your God, with which he commanded you. For then the Lord would have iestablished your kingdom over Israel forever.
31 For as long as the son of Jesse lives on the earth, jneither you nor your kingdom shall be established. Therefore send and bring him to me, for he shall surely die.”
20 And now, behold, sI know that you shall surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in your hand.
12 bWhen your days are fulfilled and you lie down with your fathers, cI will raise up your offspring after you, who shall come from your body,1 and I will establish his kingdom.
12 So Solomon sat on the throne of David his father, and his kingdom was firmly established.
7 Of the increase of his government and of peace
fthere will be no end,
on the gthrone of David and over his kingdom,
to establish it and to uphold it
with hjustice and with righteousness
from this time forth and forevermore.
iThe zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.
