11 And she kvowed a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if you will indeed llook on the affliction of your servant and mremember me and not forget your servant, but will give to your servant a son, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, nand no razor shall touch his head.”
28 Therefore I have lent him to the Lord. As long as he lives, he is lent to the Lord.”
eAnd he worshiped the Lord there.
11 Then Elkanah went home yto Ramah. zAnd the boy1 was ministering to the Lord in the presence of Eli the priest.
18 fSamuel was ministering before the Lord, a boy gclothed with a linen ephod.
The Lord Calls Samuel
1 fNow the boy Samuel was ministering to the Lord in the presence of Eli. gAnd the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no frequent vision.
