Solomon’s Prayer for Wisdom

1 Solomon made a marriage alliance with Pharaoh king of Egypt. He took ^cPharaoh’s daughter and brought her into the city of David until he had finished building ^dhis own house and the ^ehouse of the Lord and the ^fwall around Jerusalem.

16 (Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up and captured Gezer and burned it with fire, and had killed the ^sCanaanites who lived in the city, and had given it as dowry to ^this daughter, Solomon’s wife;
