27 zSo Solomon expelled Abiathar from being priest to the Lord, thus fulfilling athe word of the Lord that he had spoken concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.


1 Samuel 4:11

11 fAnd the ark of God was captured, gand the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, died.


1 Samuel 4:18

18 As soon as he mentioned the ark of God, Eli fell over backward lfrom his seat by the side of the gate, and his neck was broken and he died, for the man was old and heavy. He had judged Israel forty years.
