20 rfor you were bought with a price. sSo glorify God in your body.

23 uYou were bought with a price; vdo not become bondservants of men.

13 Christ sredeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for usfor it is written, tCursed is everyone who is hanged uon a tree

hto redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive iadoption as sons.

And they sang ua new song, saying,

Worthy are you to take the scroll

and to open its seals,

for vyou were slain, and by your blood wyou ransomed people for God

from xevery tribe and language and people and nation,

16  Terror and ndread fall upon them;

because of the greatness of your arm, they are still oas a stone,

till your people, O Lord, pass by,

till the people pass by whom pyou have purchased.

18 knowing that you rwere ransomed from sthe futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold,

and they were singing da new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and before the elders. eNo one could learn that song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. These have been redeemed from mankind as hfirstfruits for God and the Lamb,
