1 Corinthians 3:3; Ephesians 5:3; Colossians 3:5; James 3:14–15; Matthew 15:18–20
3 for you are still of the flesh. For while there is fjealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way?
3 But psexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness qmust not even be named among you, as is proper among saints.
5 jPut to death therefore kwhat is earthly in you:1 lsexual immorality, impurity, mpassion, evil desire, and covetousness, nwhich is idolatry.
14 But if you have bitter ojealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. 15 This is not pthe wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, qdemonic.
18 But awhat comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. 19 For out of the heart come bevil thoughts, cmurder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, dslander. 20 eThese are what defile a person. But fto eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone.”
