17 I know, my God, that hyou test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. In the uprightness of my heart I have freely offered all these things, and now I have seen your people, who are present here, offering freely and joyously to you.
9 Oh, let the evil of the wicked come to an end,
and may you establish the righteous—
you who ltest the minds and hearts,1
O righteous God!
2 qProve me, O Lord, and try me;
test my heart and my mind.1
3 sThe crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold,
and the Lord tests hearts.
2 Every way of a man is hright in his own eyes,
but the Lord weighs the heart.
20 But, lO Lord of hosts, who judges righteously,
who mtests the heart and the mind,
let me see your nvengeance upon them,
for to you have I committed my cause.
3 But syou, O Lord, know me;
you see me, and test my heart toward you.
Pull them out like sheep for the slaughter,
and set them apart for the day of slaughter.
27 And phe who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because1 the Spirit intercedes for the saints qaccording to the will of God.
4 but just as we have been approved bby God to be centrusted with the gospel, so we speak, dnot to please man, but to please God who etests our hearts.
