6 Certain persons, by ^oswerving from these, have ^pwandered away into ^qvain discussion,

19 ^tholding faith and a good conscience. By rejecting this, some have made ^ushipwreck of their faith, 20 among whom are ^vHymenaeus and ^wAlexander, whom I have ^xhanded over to Satan that they may learn not to ^yblaspheme.

Some Will Depart from the Faith

1 Now the Spirit expressly says that ^xin later times some will ^ydepart from the faith by devoting themselves to ^zdeceitful spirits and ^ateachings of ^bdemons,

6 but she who is self-indulgent is dead even while she lives.

8 But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has ^ldenied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

11 But refuse to enroll younger widows, for when their passions draw them away from Christ, they desire to marry 12 and so incur condemnation for having abandoned their former faith.

15 For some have already ^tstrayed after Satan.

9 But ^wthose who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a ^xsnare, into many senseless and harmful desires that ^yplunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
