Called to Be Holy

13 Therefore, preparing your minds for action,¹ and being ^ysober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14 As obedient children, ^zdo not be conformed to the ^apassions of your ^bformer ignorance, 15 but as he who ^ccalled you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 since it is written, ^d“You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

22 But be ^mdoers of the word, and ⁿnot hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

Do Not Love the World

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. ^pIf anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
