15 ^xthe Lord will strike Israel as a reed is shaken in the water, and ^yroot up Israel out of this good land that he gave to their fathers and ^zscatter them beyond the Euphrates,¹ because they have made their Asherim, provoking the Lord to anger.

33 And Ahab made an Asherah. Ahab did more to provoke the Lord, the God of Israel, to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him.

16 And they abandoned all the commandments of the Lord their God, and ^omade for themselves metal images of two calves; and they ^pmade an Asherah and ^qworshiped all the host of heaven and ^rserved Baal.

3 For he rebuilt the high places that his father Hezekiah had ^wbroken down, and he erected altars to the Baals, and ^xmade Asheroth, and worshiped all the ^yhost of heaven and served them.
