2 Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that ^kwhen he appears¹ we shall be ^llike him, because we shall see him as he is.

17 By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have ^jconfidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world.
