14 We know that we have ^zpassed out of death into life, ^abecause we love the brothers. Whoever does not love abides in death.

9 ^zIn this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.

11 And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is ^ain his Son.

16 If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God¹ will give him life—to those who commit sins that do not lead to death. There is sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for that.
