1 Corinthians 6:14–17

14 And xGod raised the Lord and will also yraise us up zby his power. 15 Do you not know that your bodies are amembers of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined1 to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, b“The two will become one flesh.” 17 But he who is joined to the Lord becomes cone spirit with him.

1 Corinthians 15:30–34

30 Why are we in adanger every hour? 31 I protest, brothers, by my bpride in you, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, cI die devery day! 32 What do I gain if, humanly speaking, I fought with beasts at Ephesus? If the dead are not raised, e“Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.” 33 Do not be deceived: f“Bad company ruins good morals.”1 34 gWake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have hno knowledge of God. iI say this to your shame.
