Translation Review Scholars
The following people comprise the team of more than fifty Translation Review Scholars who completed their work when the ESV was first published in 2001. The Translation Review Scholars are an international team from many denominations chosen to review the books of the Old or New Testament in conjunction with the Translation Oversight Committee, based on their special expertise in the original languages and specific books of the Bible.
In addition to this original team, ninety-five scholars were involved in the creation of the ESV Study Bible. The ESV Bible text also benefits from the work of this additional team of ninety-five scholars.
