ESV Digital

ESV Digital
If you’ve been following our blog recently, you’re probably familiar with ESV Digital. You may have experienced the ESV Digital initiative through our Bible Audio Downloads, ESV Bible e-book editions, or ESV web sites. We’re excited to share a little more about where Crossway is going with ESV Digital and how we hope it will serve you.
At its core, ESV Digital represents Crossway’s desire to provide the ESV Bible in new and developing digital media forms to equip God’s people in their understanding and application of God’s Word. For example, we will soon be launching the ESV Online (sign-up for the Beta).
ESV Mobile
One ESV Digital component that we’re actively developing is ESV Mobile. We recognize that the mobile platform is spreading at an astounding rate and we’re hard at work to provide mobile applications to make God’s Word accessible to more digital users. The recent release of our ESV Bible app for the iPhone and iPad is just a first step.
We live in exciting times and we’re very much looking forward to what God has in store. The potential for these technologies to extend God’s Word to the nations is incredible. We appreciate and welcome all your support and feedback and thank you for allowing us to serve you.

Any chance that Crossway will digitize Mounce’s Comprehensive Concordance for ESV?

It would also be cool to be able to access the online study bible by signing in somewhere in the iPhone app.

I’m lovin the ESV iphone app. Thank you so much for putting Gods Word in my pocket everywhere I go, and in such a rich format. I use the “favorites” to keep a quickly accessible list of all my memory verses, and frequently share verses on Facebook through the app as well. Seriously, thank you sooo much!

I have a droid eris cell phone…I love this app but was wondering is there a way I can listen to the word continually without having to constantly hit the search key then the listen button at the end of every chapter?
Thank you , and I do appreciate the work you have put into spreading The Word Of God!

Lisa: We’re assuming that you’re streaming the bible audio from the esvstudybible website, so the answer to your question is that we will be improving audio streaming capabilities not on the esvstudybible site, but the esvonline.org site. This will eventually replace the esvstudybible site and we’re hoping to release a mobile version of the esvonline by summer’s end.
You may also want to look out for our upcoming Android Apps which will feature audio streaming as well, but allow us this opportunity to ask you:
We’ve been experimenting with uploading bible audio files to youtube for increased usability and exposure. It would allow users to be able to create their own playlists and “listening plans” from their youtube account. Would that be something you would deem valuable and helpful?

LOVE the application on my Mac, iPad, and iPod touch… but I recently switched to an HTC Incredible (Android 2.1). I’m really looking forward to seeing it developed for the Android platform. If you need any beta testing, I’d be more than happy to volunteer.

Love the new online study bible! I’m using it quite a bit already.
One question though: When I hit a scripture reference on the left (in the study notes) the outline of a screen pops up, but no text. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this a glitch that’s being worked on? Thanks!!!

I love everything about the iPhone/iPad app. My one request is to add reading plans. (Specifically, the M’Cheyne plan.)
