The ESV’s Use of the Phrase “At Table”

Christendom Blogosis discusses the ESV’s use of the phrase “at table” (as in, “Jesus reclined at table with the disciples”). The main discussion takes place in the comments.

We don’t have much to add, aside from confirming that retaining the RSV’s use of “at table” was a deliberate choice on the translators’ part and not an oversight.
